The Three Little Pigs
This is a story about three little pigs.
They live with their mother.
One day, their mother says, “You are big now.”
She says, “Go and build your own houses.”
The three little pigs say goodbye.
They walk down the road.
The first pig meets a man with straw.
The first pig says, “Please give me some straw.”
The man gives him the straw.
The first pig builds a house of straw.
It is easy and fast.
The second pig meets a man with wood.
The second pig says, “Please give me some wood.”
The man gives him the wood.
The second pig builds a house of wood.
It is stronger than straw.
The third pig meets a man with bricks.
The third pig says, “Please give me some bricks.”
The man gives him the bricks.
The third pig builds a house of bricks.
It is hard work.
It takes a long time.
But the house is very strong.
A big bad wolf comes down the road.
He sees the straw house.
He knocks on the door.
He says, “Little pig, little pig, let me in!”
The first pig says, “No, no, no!”
The wolf says, “Then I will blow your house down!”
The wolf blows.
The straw house falls down.
The first pig runs to the wood house.
The wolf comes to the wood house.
He knocks on the door.
He says, “Little pigs, little pigs, let me in!”
The two pigs say, “No, no, no!”
The wolf says, “Then I will blow your house down!”
The wolf blows and blows.
The wood house falls down.
The two pigs run to the brick house.
The wolf comes to the brick house.
He knocks on the door.
He says, “Little pigs, little pigs, let me in!”
The three pigs say, “No, no, no!”
The wolf says, “Then I will blow your house down!”
The wolf blows and blows and blows.
But the brick house does not fall down.
The wolf is tired.
The three pigs are happy.
But the wolf has one more idea.
He climbs onto the roof.
He wants to come down the chimney.
The third pig hears him.
The pigs put a big pot under the chimney.
The pot has hot water in it.
The wolf comes down the chimney.
He falls into the hot water.
“Ow!” cries the wolf.
He jumps out of the pot.
He runs away very fast.
He never comes back.
The three little pigs are safe.
They live together in the brick house.
They are happy.
